The Battle at Bristol (and Worship)

On Saturday, September 10, the largest football crowd ever will gather at the Battle at Bristol, as 150,000 fans watch Tennessee battle it out against Virginia Tech. If you’re afraid you won’t be able to see the field, you shouldn’t be. The game will feature the largest-ever outdoor HDTV system, with a screen over 240 feet long that is 25x brighter than yours at home. Everyone will have a blast, but one team will leave with that sick feeling in their stomach known too well to Vol fans, induced by our crazy emotional attachment we all have to watching 18-22 year olds toss around the old pigskin. We all know something’s a little off. So, how far is too far in this passion for college football?
