21 Once you were alienated and hostile in your minds expressed in your evil actions. 22 But now he has reconciled you by his physical body through his death, to present you holy, faultless, and blameless before him — 23 if indeed you remain grounded and steadfast in the faith and are not shifted away from the hope of the gospel that you heard. This gospel has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and I, Paul, have become a servant of it.
I hate feeling alone or alienated, Paul here reminds us that we were once in that constant state of loneliness due to our evil and hostile actions. BUT, I love it when the Bible says “but” because it means its not over. But now he has reconciled us, we were once dead and he gave his life, his life was not taken it was given, for us so that we may put our faith in his gospel and become a servant of it.
How are you a servant of the gospel? Are you actively spreading the good news? The gospel is so special because we are all on different avenues in our lives where we face all kinds of trials, but the gospel is the answer every single time. He is our living hope.
Lord I am grateful that in the midst of all this chaos in my life and in the world I have a savior, I was dead and I was lonely but you made a sacrifice with me in mind. I pray you give me the strength to remain steadfast in your gospel and become a servant of it every single day.
