16 Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Your new identity in Christ walks in the word of God and in worship along with
other believers. Paul states to advise and remind others to do the same, to worship God through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs in unity with gratitude in our hearts for the goodness of God in our lives. Paul continues by saying whatever good we do to do in the name of Jesus, and to give thanks because without Him none of this would be possible.
Jesus thank you for the new identity You’ve given me, the old has gone and the new has come. I pray I continuously walk in Your word and in worship for what You’ve done in my life. Remind me to urge others around me to do the same, for You alone deserve all the glory.
