The Daily5 is a simple guide for daily time with God. Five activities for five minutes each. Start with the short devotional below, then pick four more activities from the listed options. It's ok if you can only do three or four activities! Commit each day to complete at least one of the five.

Ephesians 3:1-13

For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles— 2 you have heard, haven’t you, about the administration of God’s grace that he gave to me for you? 3 The mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have briefly written above. 4 By reading this you are able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ. 5 This was not made known to people in other generations as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit: 6 The Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body, and partners in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. 7 I was made a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the working of his power.

8 This grace was given to me—the least of all the saints—to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches of Christ, 9 and to shed light for all about the administration of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things. 10 This is so that God’s multi-faceted wisdom may now be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavens. 11 This is according to his eternal purpose accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 In him we have boldness and confident access through faith in him. 13 So then I ask you not to be discouraged over my afflictions on your behalf, for they are your glory.

Paul explains to the people in Ephesus that he has been entrusted with a mystery (the same mystery mentioned in previous chapters). The mystery is this: Jesus Christ has made the gospel possible for the Gentiles! Not only has Paul been entrusted with a mystery, but he has been entrusted with a ministry in which he is called “to preach” (v.8), “to bring to light” (v.9), and to see that the “wisdom of God might now be made known” (v.10). But this is not just the ministry of Paul, but the ministry of the church! Therefore, have boldness and confidence because of the perfect work of Jesus Christ.

Lord, thank you for making the gospel known to me. May I answer the call to make you known to all people. May I bring to light for everyone the mystery of the gospel. Lord, give me boldness and confidence to live out the gospel in my life. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

The same mystery that was made known to Paul has been made known to you. Jesus has made a way for everyone who believes in His name. Therefore, we have the same ministry. How are you bringing to light the knowledge of the gospel? How are you making God known to the people around you? How can you do that today?
