The Daily5 is a simple guide for daily time with God. Five activities for five minutes each. Start with the short devotional below, then pick four more activities from the listed options. It's ok if you can only do three or four activities! Commit each day to complete at least one of the five.

1 John 2:12-14

12 I am writing to you, little children,

since your sins have been forgiven

on account of his name.

13 I am writing to you, fathers,

because you have come to know

the one who is from the beginning.

I am writing to you, young men,

because you have conquered the evil one.

14 I have written to you, children,

because you have come to know the Father.

I have written to you, fathers,

because you have come to know

the one who is from the beginning.

I have written to you, young men,

because you are strong,

God’s word remains in you,

and you have conquered the evil one.

Summary:

Within any group of Christians there are young and old, both in years and in spiritual maturity. Maybe you’re literally young, or a father, etc. Maybe you’re new to faith or have been at it a while. There is always room for growth and application.

Prayer:

Father, help me see me in these terms in the same way You do and help me obey You today as I grow.

Reflection:

Which stage of life would you say you best fit in these verses? What practical truth does this indicate about who you are in Christ and how to best follow Him?
