The Daily5 is a simple guide for daily time with God. Five activities for five minutes each. Start with the short devotional below, then pick four more activities from the listed options. It's ok if you can only do three or four activities! Commit each day to complete at least one of the five.
1 John 2:26-27
26 I have written these things to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. 27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need anyone to teach you. Instead, his anointing teaches you about all things and is true and is not a lie; just as it has taught you, remain in him.
These verses are slightly obscure, but they hold a powerful word for us. Other teachers are trying to throw off these Christians to whom John is writing by sowing lies. The anointing we’ve received means that we have the Holy Spirit to teach us all we need to know. Ask Him today to help you distinguish His voice. Once again, craft a prayer below or in a notebook asking Him to help you reject the whispers of fear and anxiety that our enemy the devil wants us to hear.
Write your own prayer expressing what’s on your mind after reading these verses.
