2. Get rid of your mat.

- Get rid of anything and everything that has kept you from being well. It’s all that stuff that you turn to instead of God. You need to get rid of that food you turn to when you are stressed out. You need to get rid of that anger that you turn to when things don’t go your way. You need to get rid of that credit card and that shopping channel when you feel like you don’t fit in.

You need to get rid of that alcohol, those pills, that pack of smokes, the bad habits, the poor attitude, and those unhealthy relationships. Whatever it is that you turn to instead of God, you need to get rid of it. Get rid of it, so you aren’t tempted to turn to it. Cut-off any possibility of going back. Burn all of those old bridges; you don’t need it anymore. John 8:36 says, “Whom the Son sets free, is free indeed.” If God wants to remove something from your life, then you never needed it anyway. Remember, our God is a god of multiplication. Whatever He removes, will be replaced by something infinitely better. That’s a promise.

Prayer:

Father, you are our source of comfort and strength. You alone provide us with all that we need. Forgive me for seeking lesser things to fill all my empty spaces.
