Let's talk about what God is doing in you.
When you share your story, you share your faith.
Whether the events of a single week or the testimony of decades, we believe every person has an important story to tell. It may be about salvation, sin, brokenness, teaching, sickness, joy, or opportunity. Some stories are about redemption from the lowest point imaginable, and others will be about a lifetime spent following Jesus. The commonality between them all is a person who is willing to share what God has done and is doing in their life. We believe that when you share, your story can extend the faith of people all over the world. We can't video every story we receive, but we would love to get to know what has taken place in your life and how we can celebrate or pray with you!
Have Questions? We've got some answers.
If I fill out this form, am I committed to share my story? . . .
Not at all! By filling out this form, you're simply letting us know that you're open to sharing your story with the church. We'll contact you and meet up to discuss what the next steps are. If at any point you change your mind, we certainly understand.
What is the process if I do share my story? . . .
The first step is to let us know you'd like to share something. Then, our creative director will schedule a time to meet with you and talk about what you'd like to share and get to know you a little better. Then, if you're ready and the church is prepared to share your story, we'll schedule a time to film. Typically, we film in the home of the person who is sharing. The filming is interview style. Our team will ask you questions and you simply answer them. Then, we'll typically schedule a time to film what we call "B-roll" footage, which is simply filming you and your family doing a few routine activities, like having dinner or playing outside or at work. When we've finished, we'll send you the completed video first. Once you give us the thumbs up, the last step is for us to show the video online and potentially, in a church service.
Can I review the video before it is shown publically? . . .
Of course. Once we've finished editing, we'll send you a link to watch it online and provide us feedback.
What if I'm not well-spoken and get nervious on camera? . . .
Very few people are comfortable on camera! And that's completely ok. During the filming, we try to make the entire experience as easy and stress-free as possible. We will do a few takes and provide you pointers to help during filming. When we're finished with the interview, we edit the video word-by-word to remove the "Ums" and the pauses and the conversational rabbit holes. Our job is to help you share your story in a really clear way. All we need from you is a willingness, a little courage, and a little of your time!
Do I have to share my story on video? . . .
We focus a lot of energy on sharing testimonies via video because video can combine facts and emotions so well. However, we have other ways to share what God has done in your life if needed!
Will I be able to get a copy of my story video? . . .
Of course. We provide a link to watch the video online and we can provide physical copies, such as a thumb drive or DVD, to you as well.
