Helping People Take Their Next Step with Jesus

A Church where it’s ok to not be ok.

Arrowhead Church is a young church in East Tennessee that is all about helping people take their next steps with Jesus. For some of us, that next step is simply being willing to hear about who Jesus is. For others, it might be time to be baptized, meet in a connect group, give regularly to the church, or dive deeper into discipleship through a growth group. Wherever you are in your relationship with God, we want to walk alongside you! Arrowhead Church is a safe place to do that - to ask a lot of questions and discover who God is.

Those are the most important things to know about our church. For everything else, including a little bit of our history, scroll down and read on!

A Brief History of Arrowhead Church

We began as a few families in a home

Summer of 2008

In the summer of 2008, a group of people came together across the Lakeway area to dream of a church where it was okay to be you. We were hungry for a place of authenticity and relationships. On January 18, 2009, we held our first public worship service at the Rose Center in Morristown. One hundred eighty people showed up and word began to spread. We formed groups that met in homes throughout the week. Worshipers continued to meet in Prater Hall at Rose Center and selfless volunteers created environments for both kids and adults to have a place to take their next step with Jesus.

We Moved into a Shopping Center

Spring of 2010

One year later, it was clear that we had outgrown the Rose Center. The Lord blessed us with the ability to secure 8,000 square feet in Talbott, in the building formerly known as Bargain House Furniture. We added a third service to our Sunday mornings, then a fourth, then more space in the shopping center. More and more groups formed and while we worshipped there, over 150 people made decisions for Christ. For three years, we watched God do amazing things in individuals and families in this converted shopping center. It was home. Today, this shopping center is now the home of another church, The Avenue.

We Found a Home on Maple Valley

Spring of 2014

As our church continued to grow, we began to look at a permanent campus in 2011. In early 2014, we made the transition to our new home on Maple Valley Road (across from West View Middle School). Since then, we've seen God continue to work in amazing ways. Lives changed, addictions broken, marriages healed, and hope restored to hundreds of people. For us, excitement about Jesus and His work at Arrowhead is at an all-time high.

We Planted a New Church

Spring of 2016

After years of prayer and planning, in spring of 2016, we started a new campus in Greeneville, Tennessee. The small group began to meet in the former Crescent School building, led by one of our pastors, Lee Brown. Greeneville is a city that is largely burnt out by traditional religion and around half of the population has no affiliation with any church. Our hope and prayer is for God to use this new church to reach people who desperately need to know Jesus.

We're Moving Forward Together

For us, things never stay the same for very long. But one thing remains fixed - our desire to see the Kingdom of God advance through East-Tennessee, the nation, and the world. As we move forward, we are excited to see life change continue to happen in the lives of individuals with whom we're connected. God is at work here. Whatever lies ahead for us, we are excited to watch more and more people find Jesus and transcend from death to life.
