Joanna Rushlow

Jo Rushlow grew up on a family farm in a rural area of Ontario, Canada and moved to the United States to attend Liberty University where she earned a degree in Psychology and Bible. Her first introduction to ministry was in middle school when her parents went into full time ministry with a Christian camp.
Over the last 25 years she has served on and off in ministry staff rolls for international ministry organizations, camping ministries, and churches; but most consistently she served in volunteer rolls in the local church through children’s ministry. She and her husband, Adam, began attending and serving at Arrowhead shortly after moving to East Tennessee.

In 2023, Jo joined our staff as AKids Director. She is responsible for the training, scheduling and coordinating of volunteers in AKids, leading ministry coordinators for all AKids areas, creating curriculum, and creating opportunities for Family Discipleship.As AKids Director, her biggest passions are seeing kids come to know Jesus personally on their level and helping them understand the Bible for themselves.

Her vision for AKids ministry is to create a safe and compelling environment for families and children to know and grow in their walk with Jesus; within a community of believers that will faithfully encourage and walk with them.Outside of church, Jo loves to cook for family (and everybody else), grow plants, explore  the lake on her paddle board, and most of all, she loves taking new adventures with her husband and three kids.She also thinks that any party without a cake is just a meeting!Jo doesn’t have instagram, but she can be found on Facebook @ Adam N Joanna Rushlow
